Second Strike has a retro theme. The symbols are old fashion fruit, lucky number seven, a star and diamonds. There is an orange and purple sunburst background. Strike was inspired by the simple yet elegant game mechanics of older slot games.

Design

Second Strike is a five reel slot. The border is a golden screen, which pays homage to the slots of old. Quickspin has once again used their orange panel.

The Swedish company, keep regurgitating this tied orange and white panel, and hurting the pretty themes, they have gone to all the effort to design. Surprisingly, it works quite well in this game because it matches the colours, but a custom made panel would still look better. There are faded purple squares, between the border of the reels and the interface.

These squares go all the way around the game, and in them are faint replications of the symbols on the reels. This is the Second Strike feature, which will be covered in the “Bonus Features” section. The Spin Button is located on the right of the panel, and the Info and Settings Buttons are found on the other side of the panel.

How to play

Second Strike, is a ten payline slot. The reels are spun, with the Spin Button. The player can adjust their bet, but not the value of the coins. The highest bet is €100 and the lowest is €0.10. The base game play in Second Strike is very basic, and a beginner will have no trouble grasping it. Information about paylines and game play are brought up using the Info Button.

Special Features

The Second Strike feature defines this game, hence the name. It is activated every time the player wins. First the player’s win is awarded, and then the reels darken. The winning symbol lights up in different places, around the faded purple squares that border the game.

A lit up square then moves around the squares, to come to a rest on one of them. If this square happens to contain the players winning symbol, than two symbols are added to the reels, for every one symbol the player had in their initial win. It is really hard to explain but the gist of it is a colossal win.

Maximum Payout

The highest five in a row win, is rewarded by the diamond symbol, it pays €10,000 when betting €100, or 100x stake. If the player, has a hint of magic in their veins and they pull of a Second Strike. They stand to win over €100,000.

Second Strike, is a great game. The Second Strike feature makes it. Even three of a kind wins with the lowest value symbol can win the player north of a €1000, which makes this game extremely lucrative. It has a downright sexy jackpot and a great personality too.

This game could do with a few more paylines, but the Second Strike feature more than makes up for it. This is a great game which players will enjoy.
