Spin Sorceress is a magical slot, based around an icy sorceress. The background is a snowy mountain, type landscape. This theme was created for the game, and while inspired by another icy princess from films and games, it does not exist elsewhere.

Spin Sorceress was developed by Nextgen Gaming. Founded in 1999, Nextgen Gaming pride themselves on an ability to deliver exceptional game performance. Their games are a little bit hit and miss. They have great pay back percentages, jackpots and features.

But are not that good visually, their graphics, and animations sometimes disappoint. They do a lot for the casinos that host their games. NextGen won an award for social gaming supplier of the year, because they built a platform that allowed companies to deliver Facebook casinos.

Design

Spin Sorceress, is a five reel slot. The reels don’t have internal borders and they are transparent. In this game, the high value symbols are pictures that draw from the theme, and the low value symbols are numbers and letters.

There is not one panel, the buttons and information boxes are arranged at the bottom of the interface. The Spin Button is on the bottom right of the interface, and the adjust bet options are bottom left. To the right of the reels, there is the Super Bet options. There are five different coloured symbols, for each of the Super Bet options.

How to play

The reels are spun, using the Spin Button and bets can be adjusted, with the Bet Up and Down Arrows. There are 243 paylines in this game. For more information about paylines and symbol value, the relevant tables are displayed by pressing the Info Button.

The Sorceress Symbol is a wild. It will only appear on reels 2,3 and 5 and it will substitute any symbols except scatters. The Magic Book symbol is a scatter and it will pay a win multiplied by the total bet. This game will also pay two of a kind wins.

Special Features

Spin Sorceress has a Wild Multiplier feature, but it is unlocked with the Super Bet feature. The player can choose to place a higher bet, from the Super Bet menu to the right of the reels. Depending on the player’s selection, making a payline with a Wild will multiply the payline up to 50x. The highest Super Bet is a high rolling €1000.

A post win Gamble Features, allows the player to risk it all, in a game of chance. The player can select a colour or a suit, and gamble that what they have selected, is the same as a face down card. This can be done as many times as the player wishes, until they lose. Correctly guessing the suit, multiplies the win by 4, and correctly guessing the colour multiplies the win by 2.

The Spin Sorceress will randomly appear and enchant a reel. When she does this the enchanted reel is guaranteed to land a wild. In a game with such gigantic Wild Multipliers, this feature can really work to the player’s advantage.

The Free Spins feature is triggered, by landing three Scatter Symbols. The player is awarded ten free spins, paid at the value of the bet, when unlocked.

Maximum Payout

Five of a kind, of the Wolf Symbol is worth 500 credits. 500 credits are worth €1000 on a €2 bet. This can be multiplied up to 50x with the highest Super Bet. The player would be betting €1000 but stands to win €500,000. That is a mighty tasty jackpot.

The massive wins happen when a player unlocks the Free Spins mode with the Super Bet on. This equates to untold riches. There are a lot more Wilds in the free spins mode, and all wins are paid at the bet that unlocked the game mode.

Summary

Mixed feeling about this one. The Spin Sorceress has a lot of features, but really chews through a bankroll. The symbols are too undervalued. To win big on this game, the player need to be prepared to bet really big. The game does not look that nice.

The graphics are dated, and pixilated. It is a feature packed slot, but it doesn’t feel like the basics have been done right.
